Building What Didn't Exist
Avinash Singh has spent the last decade building a structured, industry-aligned education ecosystem for electric vehicles in India. As the founder and CEO of DIYguru Mobility Pvt. Ltd., he leads the country's largest ASDC-certified EV training organisation — one that has trained over 100,000 professionals across India and six countries.
His journey into mobility began during his Mechanical Engineering studies at KIIT University, where he co-founded Autosports India, built India's ATV knowledge network as "BAJA Tutor," and authored a bestselling book on off-road suspension design — #1 on Amazon with 40,000+ Kindle downloads. He received the Young Scientist Achiever Award at the Indian Science Congress, conceptualised the Mega ATV Championship, and created four Mozilla add-ons with 400,000+ downloads.
He deepened his technical expertise with a Nanodegree in Vehicle Dynamics from Helmut Schmidt Universität, Germany, and was selected as an incubatee at DLabs, Indian School of Business — experiences that shaped his approach to building research-grade education infrastructure.
Before founding DIYguru, Avinash led brand promotion at KISS & KIIT — one of the world's largest residential institutions for tribal and underprivileged students. In Delhi, as Expansion Head of Robin Hood Army, he scaled the hunger relief movement to 73 cities across India.
His research work with IIT Delhi's CART Lab led to partnerships with IIT Delhi-incubated startups — Tadpole Projects and EVI Technologies. Together, they build and manufacture India's indigenous EV testing hardware: drivetrain test rigs, BMS workbenches, and EVSE testing kits — deployed across 11 major universities via L&T Edutech.
He launched DIYguru in 2016, then repositioned it around a structural insight: India was entering an EV revolution with virtually no workforce infrastructure. Today, DIYguru offers 52 specialised programs from professional certifications to postgraduate degrees with IIT Jammu, operating across Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, and Hyderabad with international presence in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bangladesh, Nepal, South Africa, and Germany.
